Later down the track, I had the luxury to test various zoom Corp products.
Zoom is a brand that manufactures audio equipment like handy audio recorders, guitar effect pedals, loopers, and audio interfaces, yet what i got to test was their product line of video cameras.
these are the cameras that propelled me into videography and audio mixing (as these cameras ALL had top-end microphones as well).
this is when i really delved deep into learning different editing software and getting myself extra familiar with the entirety of the process behind video production.
I was introduced to photography when I was gifted a point-and-shoot Kodak C140 camera by my granddad.
I would use it to take photos of family, friends, and weirdly enough, small objects around the home to practice macro photography.
From this camera, my siblings and I also began recording videos around the house, taking inspiration from youtube creators at the time.

When going into photography in high school, my dad bought me my first DSLR camera, which I still use to this day.
At the time, this camera was being rated pretty highly as a good hybrid between video and photo, which is exactly what I needed. I’ve used this camera to shoot portraiture, live music, birthdays and engagement parties, gender reveals, video competitions, travel, car photos, and group events and I’m still using it even now.
While I will be looking to upgrade this camera very soon, I can’t deny the results it still produces and just how far it has gotten me.
